Skye Ali is a freelance illustrator who works in both children’s and editorial illustration. She has a deep appreciation for memorable characters and emotive scenes, and is always excited to visualize new story ideas. She can often be found seeking out or making picture books for her daughter. Most of her work for children includes quirky characters and bright textures, but she is never afraid to tackle heavier subjects for older audiences.

In the summer of 2017, Skye launched and successfully funded a Kickstarter campaign for her graphic novel, "For When You Can't Sleep At Night" -- a compilation of comics illustrating her experience with depression. While the fund goal was initially $750 for a run of 50 books, over 400 people helped raise $10,264 for the project. It's humbling to know that her book is now in the hands of people all over the world.

Skye currently resides in North Carolina with her husband, daughter, and two tiny dogs.
